Ever watched movies where the heroes take out the villains with a mighty deadly punch? Well, any martial arts fighter or enthusiasts would love to know how to become a powerful puncher, enough to beat their opponents without breaking a sweat!

It's true that fights are mostly won due to one's intellect and technique, but don't rule out the brawns or strength just yet. A fighter who's incredibly tough can beat any opponent who has a better strategy just from their sheer and undeniable power.

But, how does one train to really pack a punch? There are many ways to increase your punching power and there are also wrong ways, as advised by Moritz Klatten on SimpliFaster.com.

WRONG WAYS TO TRAIN:

1. Shadowboxing with dumbbells

2. Overuse of Aerobic Exercise

3. Hitting Tyres with Sledgehammers

These methods, even though popular, are not entirely safe and can even cause injury to your body. For example, hitting tyres with sledgehammers can damage your shoulders despite training your abs effectively. Aerobic exercises can also cause overtraining and make the workout pointless due to muscle fibers behaving wrongly.

TRAINING THAT HELPS IMPROVE YOUR PUNCHING POWER:

1. Chin-ups

2. Incline Presses

3. Lunges

4. Squats

To really throw that deadly punch, one needs to strengthen their wrists and hands. So, chin-ups and incline presses are the way to go! Thick-grip training helps to strengthen these areas and it's known to be an efficient way to do so.

A fighter throws their entire body weight into their punch, so it is vital that they train their body to produce such power. To avoid getting injured, one cannot adopt wrong techniques to acquire their desired punching power.

Note: Please seek professional advice if you would like to begin such training.
